Dogs are man’s best friends; there’s no doubt about that. Pets such as Shih Tzu light up the life of their owners with their adorable cuteness and nuisances.
Without their nuisances, life would be so dull! As pets, they take care of the entertainment part. Therefore, as good owners, you need to ensure that your pet is happy and gets the desired freedom to do some things that they want. Not that they need your permission anyway.

Wondering what does your pet deserves to do? Well, take a look below.
1. Accompany you everywhere… even to the loo

Having a Shih Tzu means that they will follow you anywhere, till the end of eternity. They love some company and will follow you everywhere. They will insist that you take them to work and take them out while you go jogging. They will also insist that you let them in the washroom while you do your thing.
2. Occupy the entire bed

Shih Tzus are small pets and that would make you think that they would occupy only a small portion of the bed. But, no. Just like other pet dogs, they want the bed to themselves and will only allow you to have a small portion of the bed. So, if you were thinking about investing in a dog bed, you can forget about it.
3. Play…a lot

Dogs are always active, unlike cats who love to laze around. So, the chances are they would want to play, all the time. Keep them occupied with toys at home when you go to work. Divert their attention from the furniture if you want to preserve it. Take them out to parks and play with them. You can play ball or let them chase butterflies.
4. Go through your laundry

Your Shih Tzu will go through your laundry, check if you all your clothes are fine, fight with your clothes and then ensure that you buy some new ones. Though they look really small, they are incredibly feisty to indulge in a fight with your clothes. Well, you do get to buy new clothes.
5. Let go of the leash

If you take them out for walks while having them on the leash, well chances are your Shih Tzu will run off with that leash. It is ok. Let them run, as they will come back to you. If you want your pet to be happy, then let them off the leash once in a while. Don’t tie them up all the time.
6. Get dirty

All dogs, irrespective of what breed they belong to, are always fascinated by dirt and mud. They will roll around in the mud for hours, and then summon the courage to walk up to you and smile like they had the time of their life. Let them be but be ready to give them a bath afterwards.
7. Go through the trash

Just like laundry, even trash fascinates them. They will go through the contents of the trash and take out for you, piece by piece. Your Shih Tzu knows that you have been working hard at your job and so, he wants to help by taking the trash out!
8. Keep digging for gold

If you have a backyard, then be aware! Your Shih Tzu will look for gold there. They will keep digging and digging, for all of eternity. Don’t be mad at them; let them dig for all they want. They worked hard after all.
So, go ahead and clean up after your dog, but just don’t be mad. It’s just their way of showing how much they love you!
